lori lozinski is an award-winning filmmaker based in Vancouver, BC and the President of Violator Films Inc, an independent production company that has been telling maverick stories since 2007. She is recognized for producing socially conscious character-driven stories with female creatives. 

In 2022, A Motorcycle Saved My Life premiered at the Vancouver International Film Festival, a short documentary that lori wrote & directed for the NFB. She also line produced the anticipated 6-part limited TV Series, Little Bird for Crave;  and the US feature film Winner, directed by Susanna Fogel (Cat Person, Sundance Premiere 2023) with acclaimed DOP, Steve Yedlin (Knives Out, Star Wars: The Last Jedi) that is based on notorious and formerly incarcerated whistle-blower, Reality Winner.

Recent and notable collaborations include the Canada/Norway Co-Produced feature film The Body Remembers When the World Broke Open (Berlinale 2019 World Premiere, Rogers Award for Best Canadian Film, CSA winner in Cinematography, Direction, and Original Screenplay; the feature film Sugar Daddy (CSA Winner - Best Original Song, Best Supporting Actor 2021, ACTRA Outstanding Performance for Kelly McCormack, DGC Outstanding Directorial Achievement in a Feature for Wendy Morgan ); the feature documentary Kímmapiiyipitssini: The Meaning of Empathy (World Premiere Hot Docs 2021, CSA Winner Best Feature Length Documentary 2022); the short documentary The Pilgrimage  that lori wrote, directed, and produced for CBC Digital, the immersive 6000sq ft installation Transmissions with acclaimed artist, Lisa Jackson; and the documentary RETAKE for CBC Digital. In 2017, she Executive Produced the feature film Never Steady, Never Still that premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and was nominated for eight Canadian Screen Awards including Best Film. lori also Produced the feature film Once There Was A Winter that premiered at the 2017 Vancouver International Film Festival. 

Past productions include the CSA nominated CBC Kids series Scout & The Gumboot Kids that is a combination of stop motion, illustration and live action; the 26-episode animated series, Packages from Planet X for DHX Media, Disney XD and Teletoon; the 13-part lifestyle series Eat St. for The Food Network, the live action feature film Sheltered Life and the 13-part animated series PUCCA for Studio B Productions and Jetix UK. She Associate Produced the TV Movie LUNA: Spirit of the Whale for CTV, APTN and Peace Arch Entertainment and the feature length drama The Score, a musical adaptation of the award-winning play by Vancouver's Electric Company Theatre for CBC’s Opening Night.

lori is an alumnus of the Canadian Film Centre, the 2016 Trans Atlantic Co-Production Program, the 2012 Women In The Director’s Chair, the 2009 Rotterdam Lab and was a 2019 & 2020 CMPA Indie Screen Award nominee for Established Producer. She is also a faculty advisor for the NSI Art of Business Management Program-Indigenous Edition, an Executive Producer of the 2022 NSI IndigiDocs  Program, and a guest lecturer for the Canadian Film Centre.
